MEET JAMES
LET NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVER RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
To begin, I attended Lawrence County Schools while growing up in Chapman, Kentucky. After leaving Louisa, I went to work for Ericsson INC, a corporate telecom firm in Dallas, Texas, where I worked as a lab tech, field service engineer, and FSE supervisor while constructing 2g, 3g, 4g, and LTE networks. I formerly worked as a Capital Asset Manager at Ericsson, where I tracked all capital assets worth more than $10,000 in the North America Region, which included Canada and Mexico. Worked with another Ericsson INC entity called OCEUS Networks, which created 2g, 3g, 4g, and LTE networks for Top Secret Government Projects. Did all this without a High School Diploma, but after layoffs in 2016 returned to Louisa to pursue my GED and passed the GED exam.
I've served the Lawrence County Board Of Education for five years as a full-time bus driver for morning and evening runs, as well as an instructional assistant throughout the day. I've volunteered at the Lawrence County Fair for the past two years and believe I've contributed to some of our recent achievements. I recently graduated with honors from Ashland Community and Technical College in Ashland, Kentucky. I am currently pursuing my BUS, MAT, and doctrine in Educational / Leadership through Morehead University.
I've volunteered with both the (JDRF) Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Special Olympics here in Huntington, WV. occasionally volunteer at the Neighborhood Kitchen in Ashland, KY, to serve meals to the needy. Freedom, Skylaraye, Sierra, and Tanner are my four wonderful children. I couldn't be more proud of my children and my grandbabies.
My lovely wife, Rita Jane Pauley-Barker, is all about love, trust, commitment, loyalty, communication, and understanding. She's taught me a great deal about what it is to respect a friendship and how to truly love someone. Rita definitely ignites the fire in my practical and optimistic personality, is sensitive, and inspires me to achieve my best in all I do.
I believe in Commitment, Honesty, and Service to others. Demonstrating a high sense of admiration for anyone's value and abilities can help build lasting relationships. Service to others, this value I hold close to my heart, I get a real sense of satisfaction in helping others. I love volunteering my time to help others no matter how big or small they need. Seeing other people happy, makes me even more comfortable. As Mayor, I'll always share my core values with you to the best of my ability.
If elected as your Mayor, I'll work hard to provide the best services to this community. By choosing a strong spirit, we can accomplish great things for this city. I believe by following the vision of the Lawrence County Schools, “ALL IN” meaning all of us working together as volunteers can make Louisa great again, and together I know we can succeed. I'll create leading partnerships with our citizens, organizations, and neighboring communities which creates sustainable prosperity for our city. I'll be an active community builder for both our youth and seniors by providing smart and sustainable development. We must ensure our citizens with accountability. We must respect the taxpayer, I know it's your money, and I'll not waste it.
With your vote, you'll help me make Louisa a more dynamic and vibrant place to live.
Thanks, James Allen Pauley-Barker
